The Business Need

A key player in the alternative investment sector, Anticus Partners wanted to streamline operational efficiencies in Investment Management and Investor Reporting. The team relied on conventional Excel-based methods which involved extensive manual processes. To expand operations, Anticus Partners aimed to enhance its Investment management process and investor reporting.
Deal Tracking: Substantial volume of deals led to a manual, time-consuming, and error-prone deal evaluation process. Additionally, the internal reporting was manual and time-consuming.
Loan Management: The loans were managed manually via traditional methods. Additionally, complicated interest calculations and tracking of delayed payments made the loan management process complex.
Valuation Tracking: The requirement of capturing the valuation method for each instrument separately, and incorporating calculations for Provision, uplift, and write-off added to the challenges.
Investor Reporting: Requirement of generating key reports like KPI meeting report, Portfolio report, and Fund Quarterly report. Requirement of a consolidated report encompassing all fund investments made via a specific instrument type.
Contact Management: The contact management process was manual. Additionally, there were multiple platforms for managing business contacts.

PE Front Office Solution

Following a comprehensive examination of the above-mentioned challenges, PE Front Office introduced a tailored solution that effectively addressed all the identified issues. Through a collaborative approach, a strategic and personalized solution for Anticus Partners’ challenges was developed, highlighting the flexibility of the PEFO framework to cater to customer-specific needs.
Deal Tracking: PE Front Office introduced a Kanban view feature that offered a consolidated view of all deals across various deal stages. This feature streamlined deal evaluation and enabled the deal team to navigate and assess deals efficiently. Additionally, the internal reporting issue was addressed with the help of a built-in reporting feature that helped automate the scheduling of internal reports.
Loan Management: PE Front Office automated the loan management process, empowering the investment team to automatically generate Amortization Schedules based on the captured loan parameters. To make things easier, the interest calculations were incorporated within the Amortization Schedule and a provision to track delayed payments was also provided in PE Front Office. This streamlined approach significantly enhanced Anticus Partners’ ability to navigate the complexities of loan management, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in their loan operations.
Valuation Tracking: PE Front Office provided the provision to separately capture the valuation method for each instrument. Additionally, a custom report was created wherein the calculations for Provision, Uplift, and Write-off were incorporated, meeting the specific requirements of the Anticus Partners team.
Investor Reporting: PE Front Office automated the report generation process, empowering the Anticus team to generate key reports such as KPI meeting, Portfolio, and Fund Quarterly reports in Anticus Partner’s preferred format with a single click of a button. PE Front Office created a customized report encompassing all fund investments made via a specific instrument type. This report provided a summarized overview, enabling Anticus team to analyze their investments effectively within the PE Front Office
Contact Management: PE Front Office implemented an integrated solution to manage contact details for Anticus Partners seamlessly. The integration with Outlook allowed the Anticus team to manage contacts, meetings, and meeting notes in PE Front Office directly from Outlook, thus streamlining contact management.
